Additional Charges & Salon Policies
At Doggies Salon, we do everything with care, patience, and love — and we tailor each appointment to suit your dogges individual needs. Occasionally, certain situations require extra time, resources, or handling, which may result in additional charges. We always aim to be transparent and fair, and will discuss any fees with you in advance wherever possible.
Our Promise to You
​We believe in honesty, kindness, and the highest standards of care. Any additional charges are solely to reflect the extra time and attention needed to give your doggie the best possible experience. We’ll always let you know if a fee applies and why.
Cancellation Fee – Full Appointment Cost (within 48 hours)
We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed entirely, result in a full charge, as we’re unlikely to fill the slot at short notice and time has already been allocated for your dog.
Overdue Grooming Fee – £20
For long-haired breeds such as Doodles, regular grooming every 4–6 weeks is essential. When grooming is delayed beyond this window, the coat may require significantly more work to brush out, wash, and style. In these cases, an overdue grooming fee of £20 may apply to reflect the additional time needed.
Matting Fee – £20
Severely matted coats require extra time, gentle care, and specialist tools to remove safely. If your dog arrives with heavy matting, a £20 matting fee will apply. In some cases, we may need to clip the coat short to prevent pain or discomfort — but don’t worry, we’ll always speak to you first.
Late Arrival Fee – £10 per 15 minutes
Running behind schedule can disrupt the flow of our day and affect other doggies appointments. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, a £10 fee per 15 minutes will apply. In some cases, your appointment may need to be rescheduled, and the full grooming fee will still be payable as per our cancellation policy.
Willingness Handling Fee – £20
Some doggies need a bit more time, reassurance, or help to get through the grooming process. If your dog is anxious, reactive, or difficult to handle, a willingness fee of £20 may apply to cover the extra time and care required. We always prioritise their comfort and wellbeing above all.
